Materials
Q: What materials can you machine?
We work with a wide range of timber and sheet materials. If you have a specific product in mind, send us the spec sheet and we’ll confirm suitability.
Q: Can you work with my material?
Absolutely provided it is flat, machinable, and safe to cut. We’re happy to machine customer-supplied material. We’ll advise on any constraints before we begin.
Q: Do you supply materials or do I need to bring my own?
Both options are available. We stock or source commonly used sheet goods and timbers. Alternatively, you’re welcome to supply your own material just let us know at the quote stage and we’ll advise on thickness, core quality, and finish options.
Files & CAD
Q: What file formats do you accept?
We accept all major CAD and drawing formats. If you only have a sketch or rough measurements, we can create the CAD files for you.
Finishing
Q: Do you offer finishing services?
Yes we offer light sanding, edge breaks, and basic sealing on request. For specialized finishes (painting, staining, lacquering), we can refer trusted partners who work alongside us.
Lead Times
Q: How quickly can you turn parts around?
Lead times depend on complexity, material availability, and batch size. We’ll always provide a realistic and accurate lead time with your quote no guesswork. If you have a tight deadline, let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
Delivery
Q: Can you deliver nationwide?
Yes. We offer two options collection from our Ashbourne workshop (DE6), or courier delivery across the UK via our logistics partners. Parts are securely packed before dispatch.
Q: Can I visit your workshop?
Our premises is a manufacturing site, so for your safety all visits must be by appointment only. If you’d like to discuss a project in person, please use our contact page to book an appointment and we’ll arrange a convenient time.
Tolerances & Quality
Q: What tolerances do you hold?
Typical woodworking tolerances apply for standard projects. If a critical dimension requires tighter control, let us know at the quote stage and we’ll confirm what’s achievable and quote accordingly.
Q: Do you inspect parts before delivery?
Yes every batch is inspected for dimensions and counts before leaving our workshop. Parts can also be labelled for simpler assembly on your end. We take quality control seriously at every stage of production.
Pricing & Quotes
Q: How do I get a quote?
Use our quote request form send us your files, dimensions, material preference, quantity, and deadline. We’ll review everything and send back a clear, itemized quote with lead time and any recommendations.
Q: Is there a minimum order quantity?
No minimum order we work on everything from single one-off parts to batch runs of thousands. Whether you’re a hobbyist or a large manufacturer, we give every project the same care and precision.
